Pack 366 Fees (2023-2024 year):
Dues for the whole year are $300 per returning Scout. We ask for $230 at the beginning of the year and the second $70 at the conclusion of the popcorn selling period which is mid-October. Popcorn sales can cover the second half dues if Scouts sell $300 or more. Families with more than one Scout receive a 10% discount for each additional Scout.
New Scouts are also subject to an additional $25 to cover National BSA administration costs, and prorated registration costs for the current calendar year.
Your dues cover:
- Registration.
- Scout Life subscription.
- Handbook.
- Neckerchief.
- Awards, patches.
- Derby car kits, trophies.
- Food and reservations for everyone for 2 camping trips.
Other Scouting groups may charge less upfront but will subsequently ask for more many times throughout the year for activities and for items like books, neckerchiefs etc. We monitor our budget and cover all costs besides a few things mentioned below until we are at risk of not breaking even.
Examples of items the Pack does not pay for:
- Uniform Shirt – around $30 - $35 (good for 5 years)
- Uniform Belt – around $10 (good for 5 years)
- Fees for District or Council events
- Summer Camp or Day Camp
- A portion of the Blue and Gold Banquet cost
Financial need:
We think Scouting is great for kids and would never turn anyone away if the fees are too high for a family. We have some funds available for that situation. Just speak confidentially with a registered leader in the pack and we will work something out. This could apply to an activity fee in addition to the fee to join.
